I absolutely enjoyed being in nature and I'd go for runs rain or shine. Perfect cold weather, smoky, bonfire autumn/winter scent. Luckily i got 2010 batch with 78%( believe me it's way better than 79% about projection and especially at the opening for 2 hours at least) The moment i sprayed it on my hand i realized how much i missed it, although i have the extreme version aswell but this is more enhanced and mood changer. The smell of wet wood, trees, leaves, or plants in general. This reminds me of all those smells I often got while spending time in the woods. Occasionally (and this is rare) I have a love and hate thing with it only because of the inky-ness smell you get during the initial spray. The reviews made me think I’d be smelling something the Fallen Angel would smell like before he became the devil. I won't do that stupid mistake of selling it again.
Opening of EN is really great, first hour smells fresh.Strong Cashmere note which becomes very dominant in further dry down smells very worm, but totally feminine. This is perfect for people who seek a dark fragrance. While Encre Noire A L`Extreme is all about Vetiver & Incense, the original Encre Noir is all about Cashmere Wood, Cypress & Vetiver. But then I love it because there's this ever so light sweetness I detect and honestly, I think it's a masterpiece. My little brother told me a lot of my fragrances were depressing, dark, heavy. Perfect for foggy nights By the way, i layered this with gucci guilty absolute and i get almost tuscan leather smell.I made some purchases to spite him (I love him lol). Purchased three fresh, and lighthearted— with some edge to them lol. I don't have Tuscan leather but as i remember trying it at shop on skin it smells really similar to my nose..No man should ever be smelling like that, I've sold my bottle within the first opportunity. I don't find them alike but there are some similarities for sure.
Ladies should definitively try this frag, they would smell amazing- just be careful not to over apply, spray it to the skin from distance. Overall I own this, Encre Noire A L`Extreme& the sport version as well and I'm more than happy with the smell and their performance too.
It's almost gentle, and the way it shades into a real inky smell at the end is really admirable. I live in Poland, where the weather can be a b*tch. I will buy one from Lalique official shops for 94 euros to see the difference. I have not worn it outside yet but that will happen in time. It starts off a little overpowering, but not for long. Certainly, the moody, isolated, brooding forest vibe is the entire point of this fragrance. The only negative I have is it has lots of the ISO super molecule which causes some people, including myself to quickly get olfactory fatigue -- like within the hour after application! However, despite the olfactory fatigue issues for some of us, I can almost guarantee even if you as the wearer become anosmic to this scent, you'll still be projecting, and probably more than you realize, depending on how much you applied.
I had expected this to be almost acrid, butchy, moody, darkly spicy thing, but no - instead it's oddly reminiscent to me of Byredo Bal d'Afrique, all outdoorsiness and wide open spaces. When it's raining and everything is in a grayscale, EN is a perfect filler. This is a gem, well balanced, long lasting, and the price is great too. What you're left with is a mature, manly fragrance that has people coming sniffing you. I bought Lalique because I read about its darkness and woodiness. I super like the smell, a mysterious and dark, absolutely for more sad cold days (not sunny). Silage is starting quite strong but turns to mild fast, which is ok, as you don't smell the whole room with it, but strong enough to be noticed. I am 27 and like it and I will wear it often, but I would not wear it just a few years ago when I was in college. I think I know why I love it so much - it reminds me of Comme des Garcons fragrances, which are some of my favorites. I had to pretty much take a bath in it to get decent projection and some longevity, but at bucks online that isn’t the end of the world. And while I sometimes wish it were more approachable, I still respect it as a genuinely beautiful and authentic fragrance that stands alone amidst a sea of followers. Therefore, I suggest do not over apply this fragrance because it becomes extremely synthetic if you over-spray. With many fragrances I often get better longevity spraying my shirt.
It's unlike anything I've ever smelled, and I'm struggling to find words that would make adequate comparisons, but here goes. Dark ink, slightly bitter, almost a black vinyl smell.
Who knew that ink or vinyl would be a scent you'd enjoy smelling like this? Must be an anomaly of how the other notes are interacting with each other.
might be worth a look if you're looking for a body spray or lotion that would go along with the encre noire.
